LinkedIn Text Formatter
Paste from ChatGPT, keep your line breaks. This tool turns markdown and AI output into LinkedIn-ready plain text: paragraph rhythm intact, bullets that render, bold where you meant it, and the em dashes gone.
Why your line breaks vanish when you paste into LinkedIn
ChatGPT's copy button puts HTML paragraphs on your clipboard. LinkedIn's composer flattens that HTML into a single block, so the blank lines between your paragraphs disappear and a carefully paced post lands as one wall of text. This formatter outputs plain text with real newline characters, which the LinkedIn composer respects. Copy here, paste there, rhythm intact.
What it fixes
- Paragraph breaks that survive the paste (the big one)
- Markdown bold and headings to unicode bold LinkedIn displays
- Markdown list markers to clean bullet points
- Em dashes to commas or periods, your choice
- Curly quotes to straight quotes
- Invisible characters AI tools sometimes hide in text
- Flags AI-writing tells like “not X, but Y” so you can rewrite them in your own voice. We never rewrite for you.
A note on unicode bold
Unicode bold only covers the basic Latin alphabet and digits, so accented characters stay regular. Screen readers also handle it poorly, which is why the honest advice is: use bold for a few words of emphasis, not whole paragraphs. Everything runs in your browser; your text never leaves this page.
